Laser and energy-device treatments in Camberwell, matched to your concern

Advanced laser treatments in Camberwell
A laser that resurfaces texture isn’t the one that clears pigment, and neither is built for firmness. Our Camberwell clinic runs a range of platforms for that reason, so the treatment is chosen to fit what you’re addressing rather than forcing one device to cover everything.
That choice is made at assessment. A registered medical professional looks at your concern, explains which platform suits it and why, and sets out a plan in stages where more than one session or device is involved.
LASER TREATMENTS - BEFORE AND AFTER
Laser results from our Camberwell clinic
These results come from clients treated with the platform suited to their concern, over a course planned at consultation. The approach is the same each time, even when the device isn’t: assess first, choose the right tool, and stage the treatment according to how the concern responds.

These images reflect outcomes achieved through a personalised treatment plan created after a comprehensive consultation. They are not the result of one single treatment or approach.

FAQs — Laser Clinic Camberwell
How do I know which laser treatment is right for me?
You usually can’t tell on your own, and that’s expected. The right platform depends on what you’re addressing, the laser suited to pigmentation isn’t the one built for firmness, and texture is different again. Matching the concern to the correct device is the part that makes the difference.
That’s why nothing is chosen before your skin and your concern are assessed. The aim is to fit the treatment to what’s actually going on rather than start with a device and work backwards.
The platform suited to your concern can be identified at a consultation with a medical professional.
Why does one clinic need more than one laser?
Because no single laser does everything. A device that resurfaces texture isn’t built to clear pigment, and neither is designed for firmness. A clinic running only one or two platforms can end up shaping the treatment around the device on hand rather than the concern in front of it.
Carrying a range of platforms means the choice starts with what you’re addressing and works back to the right tool, rather than fitting you to whatever machine is available. And Camberwell acting as our laser and energy hub, we have all the devices located at this location.
Which platform suits your concern can be established at a consultation with a medical professional.
What's the difference between Fotona and PicoSure?
They’re built for different jobs. Fotona is a multi-mode laser used to address firmness, texture and tone. PicoSure is used mainly for pigmentation and overall clarity, working across a course of sessions. One isn’t better than the other, they’re suited to different concerns.
Many plans use the platform that fits the primary concern, and some combine more than one over time where there’s more than one thing to address. Which applies to you depends on your skin. and can be clarified at a consultation with a medical professional.
What laser treatment helps with pigmentation and sun damage?
Pigmentation and sun damage are among the most common concerns we treat with laser and light platforms. Devices like PicoSure and intense pulsed light are designed to target uneven pigment and support clearer, more even-looking skin across a planned course. The right one depends on the type of pigmentation and how deep it sits.
Pigmentation tends to respond best to a staged approach rather than a single session, with daily sun protection forming part of the picture afterwards.
The platform suited to your pigmentation can be assessed at a consultation with a medical professional.
Do laser treatments hurt?
Most laser treatments are more uncomfortable than painful, and it varies by platform and the area being treated. Many describe a warm, flicking sensation, often compared to a light elastic snap, which settles quickly once the session ends. Numbing can be used for more sensitive treatments where appropriate.
The exception to this is PicoSure for tattoo removal. The sensations may be much more intense. But overall, how it feels depends on your tolerance and the device involved, so it’s worth raising any concern about discomfort beforehand rather than assuming the worst.
What a specific treatment involves can be walked through at a consultation with a medical professional.
How many laser sessions will I need?
It depends on the concern and the platform. Some concerns respond to a short course, others need treatment spaced over several months to build and maintain the result. Pigmentation, texture and firmness all follow different timelines, so there’s no fixed number that suits everyone.
A realistic session count is set out as part of your plan, with the platform, the settings and the spacing explained upfront rather than added as you go.
The number of sessions your concern is likely to need can be determined at a consultation with a medical professional.
Is laser treatment safe for all skin types?
No, not every laser suits every skin type, which is exactly why assessment matters. Some platforms carry more risk on deeper skin tones, where the wrong device or setting can affect pigment, so the platform and its settings are matched to your skin rather than applied uniformly.
This is one of the main reasons treatment isn’t offered on demand. A proper assessment is what keeps laser treatment appropriate and safe for your individual skin.
Whether a platform is suitable for your skin can be examined at a consultation with a medical professional.
Can you have laser treatment in summer?
You can, but it calls for more care. Recently tanned or sun-exposed skin raises the risk with many laser platforms, so treatment is often planned around your sun exposure, and diligent sun protection matters more than ever before and after a session. Some treatments are better timed for the cooler months for that reason.
Whether summer treatment suits you depends on the platform and your recent sun exposure, which is judged at assessment rather than assumed.
The right timing for your treatment can be mapped out at a consultation with a medical professional.
How much does laser treatment cost?
It depends on the concern and the platform, since the laser suited to pigmentation isn’t the one used for firmness, and the number of sessions varies with what you’re addressing. So there’s no single price that covers everything.
As a general reference, a 40-minute full-face skin renewal with Morpheus8 is $950. Other platforms and treatment areas are priced differently, and where a plan involves more than one session, that’s set out clearly before anything begins so there are no surprises.
What your specific treatment would cost can be outlined at a consultation with a medical professional.
Is a consultation required before laser treatment?
Yes. A consultation is required before any laser treatment, and that requirement sits within Australian health regulations. Informed consent laws mean a medical professional has to assess your suitability, talk through the options and realistic outcomes, cover the risks, and document the conversation before anything goes ahead.
This holds whether it’s your first treatment or one of many, and whether you’ve been treated elsewhere. Every plan begins with its own assessment.
Your suitability and options are discussed at a consultation with a medical professional before any treatment begins.
