Jem “JEM” Santos

Jem is a registered nurse who advocates embracing beauty and promoting wellness.

She’s a leader at heart and was the president of the Lasallian League of Nurses, a
nursing student organization that facilitates health-related activities and programs for nursing students, the school, and the community.

Graduated from one of the prestigious schools in the Philippines, De La Salle Lipa, she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, was the top 2 student of her nursing batch of the year 2022, and was awarded a Latin Honor, Cum Laude.

After passing the Philippines Nursing Licensure Examination, she started her profession as a nurse inside the operating theater and post-anesthesia care unit, assisting in surgical procedures, patient preparation, and performing post-operative care for surgical clients.

After obtaining her nursing registration in Australia by passing her exams, NCLEX and OSCE, she had experience working in aged care as a nurse, developing strong skills in compassionate nursing and patient-centered care, particularly with elderly and vulnerable populations. With these, she’s been equipped as well with Australian standards of care.

With the opportunity to work in Queensland Health, she started to work in a government
hospital as a surgical ward nurse, caring for pre-operative and post-operative patients, with a great amount of experience in orthopedics and other mixed specialties.

In her college days, she would advocate for beauty and wellness by participating in beauty pageants. On her free days, her stress relievers would include shopping for herself, family and friends, and travelling around the world.

She believes that nothing is more important than taking care of one’s whole being first. She mostly is passionate about beauty, makeup, and skin care and is eager to develop her skills in cosmetics nursing. She hopes that one day, she will be able to see her clients be confident and feel the most beautiful in themselves.
