What does Luxe Lips offer men?
Most men don’t book a cosmetic appointment the first time they notice something. They wait, check it in the mirror for a few months, put it down to bad lighting or a rough week, and leave it until it’s harder to ignore.
Part of that is not knowing whether hair thinning, a softening jawline or a tattoo you’ve outgrown is a reasonable thing to walk into a clinic about. It is. Luxe Lips operates three Melbourne clinics where men come in for exactly these concerns, and the first appointment is an assessment, not a treatment.
Because male skin is thicker, facial muscle is denser, and bearded skin has a higher risk of irritation, our AHPRA registered nurses will look at what you’ve noticed, tell you what’s driving it, and develop a treatment plan only if it’s clinically appropriate.
Cosmetic concerns we commonly treat in men
Hair Thinning
Changes to your hairline, thinning through the crown, or concerns about overall density.
Jaw & Facial Balance
Changes in jawline definition, chin proportion, fullness under the chin, or how your face is sitting.
Changes in Skin
Texture, tone, firmness, sun spots or old acne scarring that’s become more noticeable.
Excessive Sweating
Underarm, palm or scalp sweating that gets in the way of work or day-to-day life.
Tattoo Removal
The tattoo you’ve been meaning to do something about, recently or for years.
Energy & Recovery
Feeling flatter than you should, or slower to recover than you used to be.
Men’s Before & After Treatment Journeys

These images reflect outcomes achieved through personalised treatment plans created following a detailed consultation. Some images have been shared by our clinical partners and are used with their permission. They are not the result of one single treatment or approach.
Men’s hair thinning and hair restoration treatments
Most men concerned with thinning hair have already tried shampoo’s, and others have looked at tablets or a transplant and decided neither feels like the right place to start. There are non-surgical options that may be worth exploring before you decide what feels right for you.
It’s important to note that it won’t be the right fit for everyone. Hair thinning goes through stages. Early thinning, where the follicles are still active, will respond better than a hairline that’s been receding for a decade. Where you sit in the pattern of hair thinning helps us understand whether treatment may be suitable.
Depending on your assessment, a plan may draw on options such as scalp microneedling with exosomes or PRF treatment. Your clinician will explain what each involves and whether it suits your stage of thinning.
Your consultation will cover:
- Whether what you’re seeing is genuine thinning or a maturing hairline. They’re not the same thing.
- Where the change is happening: hairline, crown or overall density, and how far along it is
- What a realistic timeline looks like, month by month, before you spend anything.
- Whether combining approaches may suit you, including anything you’re already using, discussed under medical oversight.
Most approaches take months, not weeks, and results vary from person to person. You’ll get a realistic month-by-month timeline before you commit to anything.
Male jawline definition and facial balancing
Men’s facial structure has its own considerations. That’s why we treat male facial structure differently.
Denser muscle, thicker skin and masculine proportions all shape the way we approach your treatment plan. The focus is on understanding your natural structure and making choices that still feel like you.
Most men who chat to us about their jawline or facial balance notice similar things. The jawline may feel softer than it was, the chin may look different in profile, or there’s fullness under the chin that training hasn’t shifted. Sometimes jaw tension or teeth grinding can be part of the picture too.
Depending on what’s driving the change, a clinical plan might involve fractional radiofrequency microneedling like Morpheus8 to tighten lax skin, under-chin and jawline treatments, or a comprehensive assessment of structural facial balancing.
Your consultation will cover:
Assessing the skeletal framework as a whole rather than treating an isolated spot.
Pinpointing the exact driver of the change. Whether it’s skin sagging, bone thinning, muscle overuse, or a combination of all three.
Evaluating skin firmness and elasticity along the jaw and neck, which typically degrade first with age.
Addressing jaw tension, clenching, or grinding if it’s contributing to lower face shape or discomfort.
Subtle is the standard here. Planning is deliberately conservative and staged, and if a treatment isn’t appropriate for you, we’ll say so.
Men’s skin rejuvenation and wrinkle treatments
Men’s skin is typically thicker and oilier than women’s, with active sebaceous glands and denser collagen frameworks, while beard growth patterns require careful navigation during energy-based laser and resurfacing treatments. Understanding these distinct physiological differences shapes how we build a targeted plan rather than defaulting to a generic approach.
Most men come in wanting to address one of a few things: solar lentigines and UV damage from years outdoors, acne blemishes from past breakouts, or dermal thinning and dynamic wrinkles that form expression lines around the eyes and forehead. Chronic friction from daily shaving can disrupt the epidermal barrier, making it part of the picture we evaluate.
Depending on what your skin needs, a clinical plan may draw on options such as chemical peels for hyperpigmentation, acne scarring treatment or Morpheus8 and Lumecca, alone or in sequence, to rebuild dermal density and target vascular irregularities.
Your consultation will cover:
Sun spots and pigmentation from years outdoors, on the water or on the tools.
Acne scarring and textural changes, including surface irregularities left behind by historical acne or daily shaving trauma.
Dermal thinning and rhytide formation, mapping out dynamic versus static wrinkles across the forehead, glabella, and periorbital regions.
Structural firmness through the lower face and neck, addressing the early laxity that compromises skin quality and definition.
Most skin plans run over a series of sessions. You’ll know the plan, the spacing and the downtime before you commit to anything.
Managing hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) in men
Hyperhidrosis, characterized by overactive eccrine sweat glands stimulated beyond normal thermoregulatory needs, affects roughly one in twenty people. It is a recognized medical condition driven by nervous system signaling, not a hygiene issue, and it requires clinical management rather than a stronger drugstore deodorant.
Underarm, palm, and facial sweating can be discussed privately when you sit down with your medical professional to map out medical-grade management pathways when clinically appropriate.
Our approach to excessive sweating treatment starts with understanding where it’s happening, how much it’s affecting your day-to-day life, and whether treatment may be clinically appropriate for you.
Your consultation will cover:
Reviewing what you’ve already tried. From clinical-strength aluminum chloride antiperspirants onward.
Determining how drastically sweat output interferes with your daily routine, occupation, or clothing choices.
Ruling out secondary causes of hyperhidrosis
Whether treatment may be clinically appropriate for you, along with other pathways that may be worth considering.
This is a functional, medical conversation. Functional concerns like sweating are among the most common ways men first step into clinics like ours, and everything discussed stays between you and your clinician.
Laser tattoo removal for male skin
In our Camberwell cosmetic clinic, we use PicoSure for laser tattoo removal, using short pulses of laser energy to target tattoo ink so your body can gradually clear the fragmented pigment over time.
You might be ready to remove a tattoo completely, lighten it before a cover-up, or simply feel differently about something you chose years ago. Whatever brought you here, we’ll start by looking at the tattoo and what you’d like to achieve.
The number of sessions can vary depending on the ink, colours, depth and age of your tattoo. Between appointments, how you look after your skin matters too, which is why we’ll talk you through tattoo removal aftercare and what your skin may need as it settles.
Your consultation will cover:
- Your tattoo’s age, colours and ink density, which shape how many sessions it may take.
- Your goal: full removal, fading for a cover-up, or meeting job and service requirements, including Defence and police tattoo regulations.
- What sessions may feel like and what to expect afterwards, including how to care for your skin between visits.
- What may be realistic for your tattoo and skin tone, so you have a clear picture of the process before you decide to begin.
Removal is a series, not a single visit, and some inks respond faster than others. We’ll map the series out with during a consultation, including when you can get back to the gym after each session.
A clinical approach to men’s wellness and NAD+ treatment
If your energy, recovery after training, focus or general sense of wellbeing feels different lately, it may be worth sitting down and talking it through with a medical professional
Our team will start with what you’ve been noticing and your wider health picture, with wellness options such as NAD+ only explored where they may be clinically appropriate.
Your consultation will cover:
- What you’re noticing: energy, recovery after training, focus, or overall feel.
- Your health picture, because context matters before anything is discussed.
- Whether options such as NAD+ are appropriate to explore in your case, including what the evidence does and doesn’t show.
This is a wellness conversation, not a beauty appointment. The evidence for newer wellness options is still developing, and we’ll tell you that plainly. Nothing is recommended without a clinical reason, and nothing here is one-size-fits-all.

One visit can cover more than one concern
Most guys come in for a single issue. Because clinical variables overlap, treatment plans often map out two or more priorities simultaneously to maximize efficiency without redundant downtime. For instance:
HAIR + SKIN
Follicular density and epidermal surface quality evaluated together, aligning scalp management and resurfacing across a single timeline.
STRUCTURE + FIRMNESS
Mandibular line definition and dermal laxity assessed concurrently to stage structural contouring and collagen induction across the year.
FUNCTION + AESTHETICS
Physiological concerns like hyperhidrosis addressed medically first, leaving elective skin or textural goals to be layered in if indicated.
Combineation treatments are only recommended when they are clinically appropriate for you.

How we approach Mens Cosmetic Treatments at Luxe Lips
Every consultation at Luxe Lips follows the same structured steps, whether you’re here for jawline definition, excessive sweating, or general skin quality concerns. Your nurse will:
Review your health history and flag anything that affects whether treatment is suitable
Assess the treatment area: skin, scalp, or the concern you’re focused on
Discuss how a personalised plan would work for you, from placement to session count
Lay out a plan (areas, approach, aftercare) only if you decide you’d like to go ahead
Luxe Lips operates to the standards of the Aesthetic Beauty Industry Council (ABIC), the Aesthetics Practitioners Advisory Network (APAN), and the Cosmetic Nurses Association (CNA).
Built for a conversation you may not have had before
Clinical aesthetic care built on strict privacy, anatomical accuracy, and a zero-pressure policy.
One-on-one consultations
Your consultation happens behind closed doors with one clinician, at Camberwell, Moonee Ponds or Brighton.
Strict clinical thresholds
Plans are built strictly on physiological indicators. If a treatment is not sutable for your presentation, we tell you no.
Male physiology, considered
Thicker dermal layers, denser facial muscle, and heavy skeletal architecture dictate how a plan is mapped and executed.
Direct booking pathways
Secure your time online in under a minute. Booking a phone call first is entirely optional, not a requirement.
Ready to talk it through?
Choosing whether cosmetic treatment is right for you is personal, and there’s no pressure to go ahead. A consultation gives you the chance to talk through what you’ve noticed, have the area properly assessed and understand what your options may look like. You can ask whatever’s on your mind, then decide what feels right for you.
A $100 deposit is required to secure an appointment. Full amount is completely redeemable or refundable if you decide not to go ahead with the treatment.
Let's answer your questions about cosmetic treatments for men in Melbourne
What treatment is best for a man’s face?
There isn’t one treatment that’s right for every man’s face. It depends on what you’re noticing, your facial structure, your skin and what you’d like to address.
For some men, the conversation is about skin quality, pigmentation, acne scarring or signs of ageing. For others, it may be about jawline definition, facial balance or changes around the lower face.
Men also tend to have thicker skin, denser facial muscle and different facial proportions, so those differences matter when a treatment plan is considered.
At Luxe Lips, we start by looking at your face as a whole rather than choosing a treatment before we’ve met you. Your clinician can then talk you through the options that may suit you and what you can realistically expect from them.
What is the most effective treatment for men’s facial wrinkles?
The right approach to facial wrinkles depends on where the lines are, what’s contributing to them and how your face moves naturally. Lines caused largely by repeated facial movement may need a different approach from changes related to skin quality, sun exposure or loss of firmness over time.
That’s why we don’t consider wrinkles in isolation. Your clinician will look at your skin, facial movement and broader structure before discussing what may be appropriate for you.
The aim isn’t to chase every line. It’s to understand what’s changing and talk through options that make sense for your face, your preferences and the level of upkeep you’re comfortable with.
Do men get treatments designed to address facial volume concerns?
Yes, volume and facial proportion can be part of the conversation for men, but the way they’re approached matters.
Men may notice changes around the chin, jawline, cheeks or other areas of the face as they age. Others may simply want to talk about facial proportions they’ve always had.
Because male facial structure often has different proportions and aesthetic considerations, treatment planning should take those differences into account.
Rather than adding volume to one feature in isolation, we look at how that area relates to the rest of your face.
If a volume-based approach is clinically appropriate, your clinician will explain what it involves, the potential risks and whether it fits what you’re hoping to address.
How can I sharpen my jawline?
A sharper-looking jawline can depend on several things, including your natural facial structure, chin and jaw proportions, skin firmness and any fullness beneath the chin. That means there isn’t one treatment that suits every jawline.
For some men, the concern is skin becoming softer around the lower face. For others, it may be facial proportions or fullness beneath the chin. Jaw tension and teeth grinding can also affect how this area looks and feels.
The first step is understanding what’s actually contributing to the change you’re noticing. At Luxe Lips, we look at your face as a whole before discussing whether skin-firming, under-chin or facial balancing options may be appropriate for you.
At what age does male pattern baldness start?
Male pattern hair loss can begin from the late teens or early twenties, although when it starts and how quickly it progresses varies considerably between men. For some, changes become noticeable quite young. For others, thinning doesn’t become apparent until their thirties, forties or later.
Early signs can include a gradually receding hairline, thinning around the temples or reduced density through the crown. Genetics play an important role, but not every change to your hairline means you’re developing male pattern baldness.
If you’re unsure whether what you’re seeing is normal hairline maturation or progressive thinning, an assessment can help clarify what’s happening before you decide whether to do anything about it.
Does sweating a lot mean you’re unhealthy?
Not necessarily. Sweating is a normal way for your body to regulate temperature, and some people naturally sweat more than others. Exercise, hot weather, stress and certain foods can all make you sweat more.
Excessive sweating can sometimes be a condition in its own right, known as hyperhidrosis. In other cases, a change in sweating may be associated with medications, hormonal changes or another health condition.
If your sweating has suddenly changed, happens heavily at night, occurs without an obvious reason or comes with other symptoms, it’s worth speaking with your GP. If it’s an ongoing concern that’s affecting everyday life, we can also talk through what you’ve been experiencing and whether a treatment pathway may be appropriate.
What actually happens at a consultation?
A private conversation with a medical professional at our Camberwell, Moonee Ponds or Brighton clinic. They’ll listen to what your concerns, examine the area, give you an honest view of what may help, and explain what a plan would involve. You leave with answers, not a commitment.
Why don't you name some treatments on this page?
Australian law restricts how prescription-only treatments can be advertised, and we follow it. What is appropriate for you can only be decided at a consultation with a medical professional, so that’s where specific options are discussed.
Is my visit confidential?
Yes. Consultations run one-on-one in private rooms, and your records are handled like any medical record. What you discuss stays between you and your medical professional.
Can a Luxe Lips gift card be used for this?
Yes. Luxe Lips gift cards can be put toward any treatment available at the clinic, and they don’t expire, so there’s no pressure to rush a decision. See our current gift card offers.
